indonesia Hopes Saudi Arabia King Present at Asia-Africa Conference

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The Vice Deputy of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Relations, Khalid bin Saud bin Khalid has decided to make a friendly visitation to Indonesia. Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Relations, Retno LP Marsudi uses this opportunity to invite the honourable guest, Saudi Arabian King to attend the international-scale 2015 Asia-Africa Conference which will be held in Jakarta and Bandung from 19 through to the 24 of April 2015.
The Vice Deputy of Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Relations, A.M Fachir confirmed Retno’s intention to invite the king shortly after undergoing bilateral meeting with Khalid Bin Saud. Fachir hopes that Saudi Arabian leaders would respond positively to the recently proposed invitation.
"Retno was the first to inform RI's intention to invite the Saudi Arabian King. There will be two invitations, one for the bilateral meeting and the second one to attend the Asia-Africa Conference," Fachir informed at the ministry of Foreign Relations Office, Thursday (18/03/2015).
"Retno hopes that the respond would be a positive one confirming the Saudi Arabia's King attendance to both invitations. The invitations were presented by a special envoy, Alwi Sihab," he continued.
The Saudi Arabia's decision as to whether or not he will attend both the meeting and Asia-Africa Conference remain undecided. However, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Relations will continue to follow up the progress and confirmation of attendance from the number one man in Saudi Arabia.
"The first invitation will be sent to King Abdullah. We will continue to follow up the progress," Fachir said. (Akp/Tnt)
